Labor Day Weekend

I don't usually do journal entries but we had a very eventful weekend and I didn't really get a lot of pics so I will just tell you about it. We went home for the 3 day weekend. (Imagine that:)) We started off by going to Holden Friday night. The traffic was horrible we thought that we were never going to get there. The past couple of weeks Kael has been a little talking machine. You can understand some of it but for the most part I have to be his translator. So the whole two hours in the car Kael talked the entire time. I was kind of upset because I had been bragging him up and was telling everyone that he talked so much, and I just knew that went we got to grandmas he probably wouldn't say anything because he was tired of talking. Boy was I wrong. I don't think he ever stopped talking until he finally went to bed.
Saturday night we had a big night planned with Jim and Tracie and their kids and some other friends. Now that we are all moved away we don't get together much. We were supposed to have a dinner and then go play softball. Well a few hours before dinner the power went out. Thanks to Camp Chiefs and Dutch Ovens we were still able to have dinner and it was really yummy. After we ate dinner we were sitting outside when it started to rain. Just our luck. We all went inside and were still able to sit and visit with everyone. The night was still super fun, just a little different then we had planned.
Sunday we said our goodbyes in Holden and headed for Delta. Kael loves going to Delta. We always know that there will be cousins to play with when we get there. We all just hung out and visited that night. Oh ya, the boys thought that they would have a weight lifting competition with Kole's new weights. They all thought that they were pretty tough, and for the most part they all really were. Monday was the big opening day of the Dove Hunt. All the boys woke up and went out to go hunt. From what I saw it was a great success.

Here are some pics from the weekend.

Kael just having a conversation with Grandpa.

Aunt Danni was rubbing Grandpa's back and Kael thought that we would help her.

Kael and Uncle Maben

Kael and Cousin Tyler

Kael and Drake with their capes.

This one is my favorite. All 7 of the boys thought they were pretty tough. Little did they know how though their mother was.
